Two Postdoctoral positions are available in the laboratory of Dr Ashley Snider at the University of Arizona

The lab of Dr Snider is focused on:
1. Effects of dietary fatty acids on sphingolipid metabolism in ER stress and inflammation/cancer.
2. Roles for sphingolipids and their metabolizing enzymes in intestinal biology and pathobiology.
In our pursuits, we utilize cell lines, intestinal organoids (murine and human), mouse models, patient derived xenografts, and biobanked samples from patients with IBD and colorectal cancer to determine the effects of dietary fatty acids on sphingolipid metabolism and intestinal pathobiology.
The preferred candidate will have and knowledge of and experience with immunology and in vivo models of inflammation (genotyping, observation, data and tissue collection, preservation of samples for protein, lipid, RNA and flow cytometry analysis).
