Recognizing that graduate students have lost the opportunity to present at conferences for a time, the Webinar Series in Sphingolipids Biology together with Avanti Polar Lipids want to provide the platform for PhD students to talk about their research work for a worldwide community.
PhD students should send the following documents to sphingolipidbiology@gmail.com with the subject heading "PhD contest"

Letter of support/permission from their mentor
Deadline for applications: July 31st, 2020
Short talks presentations: September 21st, 2020
Submitted applications will be reviewed by a panel of researchers in the field, and the best applications will be selected for a round of short talks. The best talk will be selected by the evaluation panel.

Students selected for short talks will receive an award certificate, and the best talk selected by the evaluation panel will be awarded a $500 prize in Avanti products and an Avanti Polar Lipids t-shirt.
Information about the selected talks and PhD students will be posted in the Webinar Series in Sphingolipid Biology website and the webinars will be made available in Sphingolipid Biology YouTube Channel
